Rough wireframe of Clicker Hacker

My first game will be…

After months of taking courses, following tutorials, and starting a long-term project… I decided to do this!

A hacker-themed clicker!

At some point, you have to take the step of publishing if you really want to take game development seriously.

My first idea was to focus on my manager project, but after several weeks of working on it, I realized it was something that would take a long time.

So, after a few days of thinking it over, I decided I wanted to make a small game — something manageable for a solo developer and that could be released in a short time (which, of course, remains to be seen).

I made a list of video game genres considered technically simple. I chose a clicker because I came up with an idea that caught my attention — as simple as that.

I also want to use this project to learn Godot, since my other game is being developed in Unity. I never liked tying myself to one technology when programming, and I won’t do it now as a gamedev either.

So, how’s the game going?

Right now, it’s in a very early stage. I have the plan and mechanics about 80% complete on paper, and the Godot project is in a basic structure phase — working on the HUD and implementing the main gameplay loop.

P.S.: While progressing on both games, I’m also building this website, launching social media, and preparing a few other things.
