Creating a dream is…
Possible or impossible? I guess it will take me several years to answer that question.
I’ve always wanted to create video games. And when I say always, I mean for as long as I can remember — at four years old, I was already playing on a monochrome PC, loading games from 5¼-inch floppy disks using commands I had memorized.
I played all kinds of genres: lots of RTS, some graphic adventures, sports arcades, racing, platformers, and many more.
But without a doubt, my favorite —and the one I spent the most hours on with my uncle, who got me into all this— was PC Fútbol, from version 5.0 up to its last one in 2001 (and no, the ones that came after don’t count).
Throughout my life, I’ve made many attempts to get closer to game development.
In my early teens, with no knowledge and zero patience, I tried programs like Dark Basic.
Before university, I focused on web technologies, a field in which I worked successfully for a decade. Still, I never stopped experimenting: Flash courses, mobile games with Java, the rise of Android/iOS, or even a game development course at college.
And now?
I’ve spent the past few months fully focused on game development, more motivated every day. The next step had to be making it public — to increase my commitment and add some self-imposed pressure.
