1. Site owner
This site belongs to SenseiSoloDev, a personal video game development project.
Contact: isocano@senseisolodev.com.
Purpose of the site: showcase personal projects, publish content about game development and video game culture, and offer an optional newsletter.
2. Intellectual property
- Unless stated otherwise, all content (text, images, code, and assets) belongs to SenseiSoloDev or is used under the relevant licence.
- Reproduction for commercial purposes is forbidden without explicit permission.
- ยฉ SenseiSoloDev โ All rights reserved.
3. Web analytics
This site uses Umami Analytics to measure visits and general site usage in aggregate.
The current configuration does not use analytics cookies or send Umami the email address provided for the newsletter. It may process technical request data normally involved in a web connection in order to provide the service.
Data minimisation in practice
Form events include only the requested language and the technical outcome.
The email address, consent, and Turnstile token are not sent to Umami.
4. External links and social media
This site includes links to external profiles, such as X. When you open them, those services may process your data according to their own privacy policies.
- Main linked service
- X: https://x.com/SenseiSoloDev.
- Purpose
- Allowing visitors to follow project updates, thoughts, and content on social media.
5. Newsletter, security, and providers
When you request the newsletter, the site processes your email address, selected language, consent version and timestamp, subscription status, and the operational data needed to confirm the request, manage delivery, and honour suppressions.
The purposes are to apply double opt-in confirmation, send the requested editions, manage languages, preferences, and unsubscribes, protect the form, and handle delivery incidents. No automated profiles are built and no decisions about individuals are made from their activity.
Editorial emails do not use open tracking or pixels to detect whether a message is opened. Once the service is activated, the newsletter will use click tracking: Resend will rewrite links through links.newsletter.senseisolodev.com to redirect to the destination and report the click event.
In the first-party database, each click is linked pseudonymously to the campaign and stored without URL query parameters or fragments. Clicks are counted as events, not unique people, and are not used to build individual profiles.
- Legal basis
- Your consent for signup, delivery, and the click tracking described above. Legitimate interests apply to security, abuse prevention, and managing unsubscribes, bounces, and complaints; rights requests are handled under legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
- Resend
- Contacts, Broadcasts, delivery, click, and suppression provider. It processes the email address and necessary metadata under its privacy policy and data processing agreement.
- Cloudflare
- Hosting, database, and Turnstile provider. To provide the service and detect abuse, Cloudflare may process technical browser and connection signals under its privacy policy.
- Retention
- Pending requests and their tokens are ordinarily deleted after 30 days. Pseudonymous email and contact event detail is kept for 90 days; API receipts for 7 days; webhook receipts for 400 days. Only aggregate buckets contributed to by at least five distinct recipients are kept indefinitely, and only while periodic review confirms that they do not allow individualisation. Active subscriptions are kept until unsubscribe, and the minimum suppression record is retained while needed to prevent unwanted future delivery.
- Transfers
- Resend and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described in their terms, data-processing agreements, and applicable transfer mechanisms.
6. Data controller & rights (GDPR)
Data controller: SenseiSoloDev โ contact: isocano@senseisolodev.com.
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection, and withdraw consent, by emailing the address above. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or another competent supervisory authority.
To handle a request, it may be necessary to verify proportionately that you control the affected address so that data is not disclosed to another person. Export and deletion are performed through an operator-only procedure, not a public administrative endpoint.
An erasure request first unsubscribes the address. Data that is no longer needed is erased or minimised, but the minimum address and suppression reason may be retained to honour an unsubscribe, permanent bounce, or complaint and prevent future delivery.
7. Cookies and functional storage
The site does not use advertising cookies. It uses the functional sdl_locale cookie, for up to one year, to remember the selected language.
After a request is confirmed, the functional sdl_newsletter_session cookie is used to manage preferences temporarily without re-entering the email address. It is protected with HttpOnly, Secure over HTTPS, and SameSite=Lax and expires within 24 hours.
Some temporary interface preferences may be stored in browser session storage. Turnstile may also use signals or storage that are strictly necessary for its security check, as described in Cloudflare's documentation.
8. Date and version
This information was last updated on 27 July 2026.
The newsletter consent copy is recorded as version newsletter-consent-2026-07-v2. A substantive change to purpose, tracking, or consent conditions requires a new version before public signups reopen.
